Why It’s Important to Claim Your Website on Pinterest

Claiming your WordPress site on Pinterest allows you to access website analytics on Pinterest. Additionally, your profile photo will be on all pins from your site. 5. Now we will go paste that alphanumeric code from Pinterest into your Yoast SEO plugin. If you don’t have the Yoast SEO plugin (I use the free version), download it here.

From your WordPress Dashboard, go to SEO > Social > Pinterest. Paste the alphanumeric code in the Pinterest confirmation box and click Save changes.

Additionally, you need to go to the Facebook tab from the Social section in Yoast SEO, and make sure that Add Open Graph meta data is saved to Enabled.

6. Let’s get back to Pinterest on the Pick claim option page, and click Next. Then on the Submit for review page click Submit.

Now you wait for Pinterest to verify your site.

Plus, your Pinterest profile page displays a globe checkmark icon next to the website.

Tip: Make sure your WordPress site is not in maintenance mode. Pinterest will not be able to verify your site if it is.
